Shahid And Parineeti Chopra To Be Paired Together In Yash Raj Film

Shahid Kapoor would soon be seen in a Yash Raj Film opposite Priyanka Chopra’s sister Parineeti Chopra. Yes, the Chopra surname would still haunt Shahid even after his break up with Priyanka. According to the sources, the film will be directed by Maneesh Sharma, who has earlier directed hit films like "Band Baaja Baaraat" and "Ladies Vs. Ricky Bahl". The sources say that the film would also star another female actress who is yet to be finalized.

Shahid Kapoor has been in the news lately for his alleged affair with the "Rockstar" girl Nargis Fakhri. Although the information still remains unconfirmed, the industry is abuzz with the news.

Parineeti, the cousin sister of Piggy Chops has earlier acted in Maneesh Sharma’s "Ladies vs Ricky Bahl" in which she impressed not just her fans but also her director. Parineeti will also be seen in "Ishaqzaade" with Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor. The film is expected to release on 18th May.

Eega movie review

Eega is a live action graphical film has an animated character ‘House Fly’ in title role. While the ‘Ashta Chemma’ fame Nani is the protagonist, Kannada actor Sudeep will play the antagonist.

Interesting news is that the present sensation Samantha is playing the leading lady. D Suresh Babu is producing this film under Suresh Productions banner.

The main story of the movie is villain kills hero. Hero is reborn as Eega (fly). Eega happens to remember what happened in it’s last birth. Imran, Deepika win worst actors Golden Kela

Imran Khan was named the worst actor and Deepika Padukone the worst actress at the fourth annual Golden Kela Awards Sunday, a spin-off of Hollywood`s Razzies awards, which recognises the worst in cinema.

While Imran won the award for `Mere Brother Ki Dulhan`, Deepika was given the award for her performance in Prakash Jha`s `Aarakshan`.

Shah Rukh Khan`s sci-fi film `RA.One` walked away with two trophies for worst film and worst director for Anubhav Sinha.

The award for the most atrocious lyrics went to Amitabh Bhattacharyya for "Pyar do pyar lo (`Thank You`), "Jigar ka tukda" (`Ladies vs Ricky Bahl`), and "Mutton" song ("Luv Ka The End"). "Teri meri" from `Bodyguard` was named most irritating song.

Prateik was given the for worst supporting actor award for "Dum Maaro Dum" and "Aarakshan"

A special Platinum Kela award was however given to filmmaker Kanti Shah for excellence in cinema.

"I`m feeling good at being invited at the event. It`s special because its been organised by true fans of my style of movie-making. I have been to other award shows as well, but this definitely is special being solely driven by fans of my movies," said Shah, on receiving the award.

Actor Pankaj Kapoor`s maiden directorial venture "Mausam" got the Bawra Ho Gaya Ke Award, while Chirag Paswan won the worst debutante for "Miley Na Miley Hum", and Esha Deol won the award for the worst attempt at a comeback for "Tell Me O Kkhuda".

The Lajja award for worst treatment of a serious issue went to "Aarakshan" and Pritam was awarded the Bas Kijiye Bohut Ho Gaya award.

However, there was a special category of `Anti-Kela` awards for the films that were the saving graces of 2011.

The recipients were `Yeh Saali Zindagi`, `Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster`, `Shaitan` and `Shor in the City`.

"I think Sudhir should be the one accepting this. I`m quite honored and amused to accept this award. It is good to see this movie getting some recognition. And you guys obviously have a great choice," said an ecstatic Arunoday Singh, on receiving the award for `Yeh Saali Zindagi`.

Akshay and John’s reunion: What an act!

Remember the story of actors John Abraham and Akshay Kumar getting into a nasty fight yesterday? (In case you want to read the story again, you can click on the box on the right) Well, turns out that was the actors’ idea to fool their fans on April Fool’s Day! And well, we have no qualms in accepting the fact that we fell for their prank – hook, line, and sinker! 

Kudos to the two actors for staging such a fight… they have proved, yet again, that they are brilliant actors – both on screen, and off screen – as and when the situation demands! Akshay and John had reportedly got into a fight during a special screening of their upcoming movie, ‘Housefull 2’. Post the screening, the two performed their act – and were successful in creating absolute fools of their fans!

Salman Khan bats for autistic kids

Salman Khan has become the face of autism in India. Walking an extra mile to promote the cause, the actor has joined the campaign to spread awareness about autism in kids and says that autism is a disorder, not a disease.

Salman Khan got roped in for the cause at an awards event recently. Salman was inspired by a lady who came up to receive an award in recognition of her work in the field of autism.

The lady while receiving her award, made a comment that autism awareness needs to be generated, and a very good way to do that is to have a celebrity face. She asked Salman Khan then and there if he’d be the face of autism in India. Her son was diagnosed with autism; she had travelled abroad to study and lend support to other autistic children/family of autistic children.

Without wasting a moment Salman said that he will do his best to spread awareness. Salman Khan has published a guide book through his NGO, Being Human, on World Autism Awareness Day today.

Salman said, “Autism is not disease, it is a disorder and can happen to anyone irrespective of class, creed, nationality and gender. Autism exists all over the world. Autism is a lifelong condition. But no matter what age, people with autism can improve. “

April 2 has been declared as World Autism Awareness Day by a resolution passed in the United Nations General Assembly to create awareness about Autism.

Action King Ajay Devgn turns a year older

The lanky young boy, who made a big splash in Bollywood with his daredevil stunt performance in his debut film ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ in 1991, has turned 43 on Monday. ‘Son of Sardar’ aka Ajay Devgn sought divine intervention ahead of his special day as he visited the Kali Temple at Quila Mubarak in Punjab.

A source said, “Ajay is usually not too excited about celebrating his birthday, but visiting Patiala’s 250-year-old Quila Mubarak has really made it special for him this time around. Being a true-blood Punjabi, he was absolutely thrilled to visit the holy place that has been blessed by Guru Gobind Singh (Sikh Guru) himself and houses an eternal flame that’s being kept burning for 250 years now.”

“Ajay visited the Kali Mandir with his family and prayed to Goddess Kali before starting the day’s shoot. He felt very lucky to have been able to visit a place so revered by Punjabis and being one himself, this was a much cherished divine experience for him,” added the source.

Ajay is not known for socialising and is hardly seen at Bollywood’s happening dos. His birthday plans are pretty simple as he intends to spend the day with his family post shoot.

“Yes, we will be shooting early in the day, but I’m looking forward to spending the day with my family, as soon as we wrap up the day’s shoot,” said Ajay, who has been shooting for ‘Son of Sardar’ for quite some time now.
The actor took to Twitter to thank his fans who surprised him with a birthday cake on the sets of SOS.

Ajay wrote, “Thank u for the lovely Birthday wishes!:) and thanks to the fans that surprised me with a huge cake on #SOS sets, the whole unit enjoyed it!(sic).”
