Post the success of Kahaani, it is being said that Vidya Balan, too, may well be the brand ambassador of the metro, too. Kahaani, a film by Sujoy Ghosh, has Kolkata as its backdrop, and given that Vidya is fluent in Bengali it just seems apt that she becomes the brand ambassador.
Also, it can be remembered that Vidya Balan's first film Parineeta, directed by Pradeep Sarkar also had Kolkata as its backdrop. Vidya herself is a fan of Kolkata. When we had met her last, she had said that her Bengali connect was too deep - from the food and art to their clothes and people, she connected with them all.
In fact, Vidya's best friend Raima Sen is a Bengali actress, and the two converse fluently in Bengali.
